Chapter 35

"I should speak to Kelvin about it. Maybe he can tell Sorin on my behalf. Who knows if he'll grant my request." I thought to myself, as I stared at the remaining food on the table, which would be thrown out the moment I got up from the table.

I ate the rest of my food in silence as I schemed and planned for my next line of action.

I was still in my thoughts when Kelvin walked in. He wore a black suit as usual and a black shirt underneath. The sound of his heels alerted me and I looked at him and he approached me.

"Just the person I need to see!" I thought to myself.

"Ma'am, I'm going to be on my way back to the hospital now." He said, as he got to me.

"Oh, okay. I almost forgot." I responded.

"But errrrrr…. I need to talk to you about something." I said, and he raised an eyebrow.

"What is that?" He asked me but I immediately changed my mind.

"You know what? Never mind, it can wait. I'll just tell you some other time." I immediately said, but he smiled.

"What if it's too late by then?
