Chapter 48 "Could Not Hate You"

Zion and Cassius went into the balcony. From the tenth floor of the condo building, they looked at the city night. They watched the bright neon and electronic billboards, advertisements, signs and posters hung from almost every building in dazzling array of colors and the traffic light that is frantically changed colors like a disco light.

Huge giant building stood besides the street, quiet as if taken over by an army of libraries. Some windows gave out white and yellow lights, but the others were pitch blank.

Cassius looked into the night sky, expecting to see stars , however, the kaleidoscope that shimmers from the distance, swept over the city and brighten the sky so not even a twinkling of a a star can show its light down on him.

He took a deep breath. Then he turned his head to Zion standing beside him.

“Ask me what you want. So you can go.”
