Chapter 49 "He's Dangerous"

Harriet’s POV

I heard everything.

From the timed when Cassius had to go to New York and when he told Zion that he never once held a grudge against him.

Behind the sad and wrathful gaze, I can now understand the sweet and bitter relationship the two have. I can also imagine how painful it was for Zion to lose someone he treated like a real family, and how he let his heart grew farther from Cassius.

Was this hurtful experience the reason why Zion felt so distance against his family?

Even when I first entered the mansion, Zion treated me a way too different from his own father, mother and sister.

‘Then, is there a possibility that my presence filled the hole Cassius left?’

I am not sure if Zion felt that way for me because of the wound he received from Cassius. But all in all, it is fortunate that the misunderstanding between them has resolved.
