CHAPTER NINE

Chapter Nine

Tia kept calm for the rest of the ride back home. Her mind was all on the pregnancy tests that she bought and how she would use them when she got home. She needed to get rid of the gnawing feeling inside her heart.

"Thank you, Ian," Tia said as her brother parked in front of her father's house.

"Do you want me to see you off? To escort you inside. I should greet mom," Ian said with a smile and Tia shook her head.

"That will be okay, thank you very much. I appreciate what you did for me," Tia said.

"You are welcome," Ian said.

"Take good care of yourself and do not forget to call me," he continued and then Tia walked into the house.

She figured that Ian was on her side. She had someone new in her corner. It was a feeling that she liked to have someone with her that is.

She held her ball gown and the rubber bag with her as she walked into the living room.

"Where are you coming from?" Her father thundered as she entered into the house. Tia was shocked to hear his voice as she did not expect him to be home yet. He spent so much time talking to his business partner then that she figured that they would still be talking till now.

"I came with Ian, he dropped me off," Tia said. Her voice was shaking. Her father looked so angered that it scared her. She did not even know why he was angry in the first place.

"Ian. Of course. William told me that the brat stopped you from apologizing to him," her father said to her and Tia shook her head. Will had told her father already. He clearly did not waste any time.

"That was not it father.. I did nothing wrong. There was no reason that I should apologize in the first place," Tia said to her father. She could not believe that she was about to marry a child, a man that reported to his father when things did not go his way.

"When your husband tells you to apologize then you do. It does not matter if you are wrong or right," the man that she called her father said to her. Tia was so stunned at her father's words that all that she could do was to stare at the man, she could not believe that he said all of that.

"What is going on here?" Her mother asked as she entered into the house. She looked to Tia and to her husband, and she knew that there was a crisis again.

"Just tell your son to stay away from my daughter," her father said to her mother and she shook her head.

"What do you mean Robert?" Her mother asked.

"I mean that you should ask Ian to stay away from Tia's business," her father said. Tia could see her mother narrow her eyes, it seemed like she did not like Ian being in her business too.

"It is only natural for siblings to care for each other. They grew up together remember?" Her mother asked her father.

"Just tell him to stay away or I will handle him myself," her father said and Tia shook her head. She did not want to listen to any of those things happening, but she knew that if she left it would bring another problem so she stayed put.

"I will talk to him," her mother said and she eyed Tia. Tia was not sure what that look meant. Is it that she was not meant to talk to her brother or that she was not in the same league with him, or because they did not share the same father?

Tia's mother left Tia in the living room and her father looked at her hard and long before leaving too.

Tia felt like collapsing on the ground but she dragged herself with her huge dress to her room before she falling on the ground in tears. She cried because it seemed like nothing would work out that her life was already set in place and there was nothing that she could do about it.

She managed to stand later to remove the big dress that she wore and she took her bath and slept. It was quite a fitful sleep as she dreamt of William and Isla. Living in a house with the two of them. In the dream William was dragging her with Lloyd. Both men had a hand on either of her hand and they stretched her from each side. And then Isla joined William, holding him by the waist and Ian joined Lloyd and they both pulled at her.

Tia thought that she was break, she could feel herself tearing into two when she woke up with a scream.

It was all a dream.

She woke up and she touched her arms, they both felt sore and she was out of breath, she felt like she was truly there and they were dragging for her soul.

She stood up from her bed and saw that her room was a mess. The dress that she wore for her engagement party a day before was laying on he ground and then she could see a small plastic bag. It was her pregnancy tests.

Tia felt her heart beating fast against her chest as she held the bag in her hands.

She then threw them on the bed. There was no need for the test, she was fine, nothing happened to her. She saw her period and it was just Hera that put all of those thoughts in her mind, they were not funny at all.

Tia glanced at the tests and went into the bathroom. She was feeling the urge to pee. Tia then shook her head and went on to pick the tests from her bed. Better safe than sorry.

She brought out all five tests from their packets and then peed on all five of them, she set the timer and she waited for the longest five minutes of her life.

Tia was fine, she was not pregnant, she would not be pregnant, she could not be. There was no need for her to panic, but yet her pulse rate was so high. She could hear the sound of her heart beating, her hands were shaking and ten seconds felt like a year.

I just need to prove Hera wrong, that is all. There is no need for me to worry and there was no need for Ian to worry too.

Tia was still trying very much to convince himself of his plan.

The alarm rang finally and Tia shrieked.

"Yes!" She said and she looked at the first test. Two lines, positive. Tia's heart began to beat more but she figured that it was okay. It was just one test. The first ones were usually not accurate. She looked at the second one, two lines, positive. Tia blinked at that and she placed her hand on her chest. What was happening? There were still three more to go she would be fine.

Tia looked at the third one, one line negative. Yes! Finally. She was sure that one was accurate. The name of the make looked professional, the others not so. The other two were false positives.

She looked at the fourth one, another one line. Tia closed her eyes. There was no need for her to worry. It was all false positives. There was no cause for alarm. Tia then looked at the last one and her heart dropped. Two lines positive.

2-3. That was a 40-60. 40% Negative and 60% Positive. That was no so bad. Everything would be fine. She was not pregnant. Tia tried to convince herself. But maybe she was pregnant, Tia thought again and she sat on the bathroom floor. The hopelessness hit her. What the hell was she going to do?

Tia's phone rang then. She was not in the mood to talk to anyone so she didn't answer, but the phone continued ringing, it did not stop. Tia then lifted herself up from the ground and went to her room to pick up her phone.

"Hello," Tia said, not even looking at who was calling her.

"What the hell Tia? Why can you not pick up your phone? You are just so dumb. But that is not my problem. My brother will have to deal with that on his own. Anyways, my mother and I are going shopping for your wedding accessories. William would like to pick the gown, so we are picking out shoes and jewelry and the like. My mom wants you to come, I cannot fathom for whatever reason why your presence would be important, but my mom can think oddly sometimes, so yeah. We will wait for you at our place and then we can leave together," Isla said and Tia was barely listening. Her hands were shaking as she thought of the pregnancy tests that laid in her bathroom.

"Are you listening?" Isla shouted and Tia blinked. The girl was still on the phone.

"Yes, yes," Tia said. She was not sure what she said.

"Okay, that is good. Hurry up, we are waiting," Isla said and disconnected the call. What had Tia just agreed to?

From the few things that she picked up, she was going shopping with Isla and Elsa, Will's mother. As far as Tia was concerned, Elsa was the only sane person in their family.

Tia did not want to leave her house. She was not in the mood to talk to anyone and she was still trying to wrap her head around the tests that she just took.

Tia knew that she had to go though. She somehow just agreed to it and they would be waiting for her. She did not want to cause trouble for anyone. Especially herself.

The first thing that she did was to get rid of the tests. She knew that she would be in a big mess if anyone found out that she even had to use tests in the first place. That was not something that she was ready to deal with.

Tia would know later that she was still in shock as she picked a white and black dress and paired with with fishnet stockings and heels. She dropped her hair and as she looked at the mirror she does with the idea of cutting her hair and doing a bob, but the again someone else was choosing her wedding dress she probably would not be able to cough without his permission much less cut her hair.

She rubbed on some red lipstick and put on some heels before she left the house.

Tia got into the car that belonged to her face and calmed down.

"Take me to the Rowling Residence," Tia said to the driver. She was relieved that she did not run into her father. She did not know what she would have said or done. She was beginning to hate the man that she ha looked up to that attended all her dolls tea parties, that played dress up with her.

Tia was not sure when her father had changed but she was sure that he changed. He was not the same man that she knew as a child.

Tia thought of the pregnancy tests again during the ride. She would need to run a blood test to confirm. She would have to ask Hera for help in that.

Tia placed her hand on her stomach. If she was actually pregnant then she would be one month gone. It was one month since she had sea with Lloyd Patterson.

Can home tests even detect one month? Tia thought again and frowned. If they couldn't then there was a high chance that she was actually pregnant.

Tia closed her eyes and wondered what the hell she would do if she was pregnant.

She would not get married to Will for one, definitely not with someone's child. But what about Lloyd, what would he think. He knew that she was engaged to Will, would he believe her if she went and told him that she was pregnant?

Who would take care of the child? Tia could barely make decisions for her self and then she would have to make decisions for a child too?

Tia Wilson thought so much and yet she did not have any answers. She could not do it. She could only hope that she was not pregnant.
