Once Evy and I evacuated the chief's office and went our separate ways, I went back home.

Getting out of my car, I noticed Lucas’s car positioned at the front of the mansion.

I footed into the house, going directly to the living room where Ms. Ruth was, attempting to make sure Killian did crawl away from her. I grinned at the sight, promptly striding towards them.
