A desire to rescue

I drove gradually with my gaze fixed on the road, I made sure not to be distracted as all that filled my mind were thoughts of Ashely and where she would be.

My eyes Scanned through the empty and deserted alley to see if I would get a glimpse of her, but my effort was futile as all I saw were heaps of snow by the highway, snowflakes falling from the dark and gloomy sky, forsaken trees, and a lifeless road.

The street light only made the street even more lonely. I drove gradually as every second Felt like an hour, after what seemed like a thirty minutes drive, I spotted a figure from afar that looked like a human running tiredly.

I drove fast to meet the person and the moment I got close to the figure, my heart began to skip seeing it was ashely, I reduced my speed to meet up with her so we could go home together. I noticed she started waving her hands towards my car to stop.
