CHAPTER TWENTY

SCARLETT'S POV.

Abby and I navigated through the sea of students in the hallway, making our way to the our spot at the parking lot. I hadn't been able to talk to her for two days now because I'd truthfully been avoiding her, so we had a lot of catching up to do.

When we both took a seat, she wasted no time in going straight to questioning me.

"So, what has been happening? I couldn't catch you anywhere for two days. Were you avoiding me or something?"

"No way, I wasn't," the lie tasted bitter in my mouth but I ignored it. "I just was busy with catching up on all the stuff I missed and I couldn't find you guys too."

Abby looked like she didn't buy that for anything but she didn't press on it. "So, with Luca. What's going on? Are you okay?"

I gave an awkward laugh. "Why would you ask if I'm okay? Do I look horrible or something?" I brought out my phone and clicked on the camera, checking my appearance.

This morning I hadn't really put in much into getting ready because I had a lot on
