Christina’s POV

“Ms. Bell, would you like anything?” The air hostess asked with a cheerful practised smile on her face and I shook my head in refusal.

“Not for now, thank you,” she smiled and her eyes drifted to Scott who was seated on the next seat beside mine, his hands resting on the armrest with his eyes looking straight ahead.

“Sir, may I get you anything?”

“A bottle of water would do,” He responded without sparing her a glance. Without a word, she turned on her heels and left, leaving us alone.

At first, I turned to the window, not sparing him a glance. After all that happened due to Marvin’s visit a few days ago, I hadn’t spoken a word to him and I’d like to keep it that way. He also didn’t speak to me and only sent all errands and instructions regarding our trip through Adams and the maids. It was as though we were merely business partners, heading for a business trip with nothing in common and I’d like to keep it that way.
