KAI POV:

The day after Lilith and dad’s monumental blow-up, my mother took her and Kaiden into town to show them around and to buy some additional supplies for dinner that evening. And if I didn’t know better, I thought my mother wanted to make sure Lilith was okay after her run in with dad the night before.

While they were gone, I took the opportunity to try and do some work. But I found that I was too distracted, something I never had a problem with. My ability to focus had always been one of my strongest points, but Lilith’s presence had distracted me to the point I couldn’t even hold a phone conversation with my assistant without my mind wandering off to some long held fantasy, albeit now with a brunette Lilith.
