A New Sister

Rose had really enjoyed the trip to Springfield. They had stayed a day longer because Wayne had wanted to see places she had spent her time while growing up. They had driven past her middle school, high school, favorite café and so many other places.

They had spent the extra night at Thomas’ house and Wayne had enjoyed it more than any hotel. He had seen Rose’s bedroom and all her cute pictures. Rose was almost the splitting image of her mother, but she had gotten her dad’s chestnut brown hair instead of Theresa’s dark one.

Cooking in her mother’s kitchen was the happiest place he had ever seen her cook and he had been honored to be her assistant chef.

Wayne had enjoyed every bit and of it and he had been happy to see Rose relax. Sometimes she worked so hard without taking any breaks and he liked seeing her rest. They could have spent a week but he knew that she would object.
