Lavender arrived home to find that Stella had also returned from her shift. Stella had remained at the same hotel they were working earlier before Lavender was transfered. Since she was also good at her job, she had been promoted and she was the one in charge of all waitresses and waiters. 

She did not have to personally serve every customer that came to the hotel. And since she was promoted, her salary also increased, and now their lives were a bit stable.

"Why do you look so happy?" Stella asked when she saw her friend entering the house while humming a strange tone.

"I have finally gotten some days off!" Lavender said as she removed her shoes.

"What are you holding in your hands?" Stella asked, seeing that her friend was holding a brown envelope. 

"Ooh this, boss said it is my tip from a customer. I haven't even opened it yet."
