Chapter 30

Vivian was beyond mere annoyance after the morning saga with Lucas. It had been over eight years of being friends and lovers, and in none of those did he ever fight with her like that. There had been disagreements before, but this had crossed a line and she needed to know why.

She spent her day in the mansion, perusing magazines and social media pages. She was followed by many other celebrities and took free hours like this to comment with a bunch of love hearts on their posts.

This was seen as a way of enhancing friendship online, and Vivian liked to fake it until it seemed real. After hours of being online, she opened her email application which had hundreds of unread emails begging to be opened.

The first thought in her head was firing her assistant whose unwritten job description entailed reading and replying to emails. Vivian despised laziness and all its look-alikes and was about to make the call when she saw headlights flashing as a car approached the mansion.
