I had said this a hundred times but I was going to keep repeating it.

George was a stubborn man.

I had told him not to worry about my family because I was going to take care of them by myself but he insisted on searching for a new house with a better security and smoke system. He could have just made one for the current house but according to him, part of it was gone and could fall anytime. I agreed with him on that.

He told me that if I didn’t agree, he was going to find one behind my back, so I had no choice but to go house hunting with him.

My mom was going to be mad, but I was going to emotionally blackmail her into accepting it. I would only be assured after they had settled down in a safe environment.

“What are you going to do about him?” I questioned as we drove to our next destination.

He knew exactly who I was talking about. I didn’t even have to call a name. “He’s in the midst of a name change again.”
