Chapter 12

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before Celine finally spoke up.Celine, however, didn't share Alexander's enthusiasm. She was surprised by his suggestion and wasn't quite sure how to respond.

"Thank you for the offer, Alexander, but I have to decline," she said firmly.

Alexander was taken aback by her response. He had expected her to jump at the chance to move in with him, but instead, she was refusing.

"Why not? Don't you think it would be best for the baby?" Alexander asked, his voice rising slightly in frustration.

"I appreciate your concern, but I am an independent woman, and I have my own life and my own home. I don't want to give that up just because I'm pregnant," Celine explained.
