Chapter 39

Celine woke up the next morning to the feeling of Alexander's arms wrapped tightly around her. She smiled and hugged him back, savoring the feeling of his warmth and innocence. She gently extricated herself from his embrace and got out of bed. She went to the bathroom to freshen up, and then she went to Alexander's mother's bedroom to check on her baby.

Alexander's mother was asleep in bed, and the baby was sleeping peacefully in his crib. Celine smiled as she looked at the baby. He was so tiny and perfect, and he looked so peaceful. She gently reached out and stroked his cheek. He stirred slightly and opened his eyes, and Celine smiled at him. He smiled back at her, and Celine's heart melted.

Celine stayed in the room for a few more minutes, just watching the baby sleep. She felt so lucky to be a part of his life, and she knew that she would love him very much.
