Chapter Twenty

They got to the restaurant,Henry got down first to open the car door for her and she also stepped out. They entered the restaurant and a waiter led them to a table that had been earlier reserved by Henry.

“Please have a seat.” Henry said as he pulled out a chair for her .

“Thank you.” Ann said. She waited for him to sit down also before talking.

“I hope you didn’t rent the entire restaurant today?” Ann asked

“Are you teasing me or you really want to know?” Henry replied

“It’s just a harmless question.” Ann replied

“I understand,No I didn’t. As you can see,we’re not the only ones here today.” Henry said in his defense.

“I can see that. I thought we’re just having a drink.” Ann said

“A drink on an empty stomach? Have you eaten anything else other than the breakfast I brought you?” Henry asked

“No,I was busy with work.” Ann replied

“That’s why we are eating first. You can’t drink on an empty stomach. So just eat and we can drink afterwards.” Henry said

“Alright,I’m actually hungry .”
