CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

EMILY’S POV

I paid the cab driver and came down from the cab.Kate was waiting for me at the front of her house.When she saw me alight from the cab she ran and gave me a big hug.I rolled my eyes at her smiling,she hadn’t changed her over dramatic nature one bit.

She helped me take my luggage inside and locked her door after I went into her apartment.She had a one room apartment.I wasn’t expecting much from her,she was an orphan and was on scholarship while we were at the university.

I remembered always giving her half of my allowance to aid her with some bills,she worked very hard and did many part time Jobs.

Even though her life wasn’t easy for her,I envied her because she lived her life the way she wanted.Her room was not too big or a luxurious room but it was cozy and it actually felt like home.

It was a one room apartment but it was more than enough to give me that homely feeling I want.I walked to the sofa and sat down tiredly,this was one hell of a day.
