Sixty nine

Alex walked down the stairs, he was running late for his meet up with Steph by the lake.

As he was about to leave, he heard his mum call.

"Alex," he turned in the direction of the voice, wondering when and how his mother had gotten into the house.

"Mum, what are you doing here?" He said, walking towards her.

"Sit," his mum, said.

"Mum, I am running late for something."

"It would only take a minute."

"Alright."

He sat next to her on the couch.

"Where is Luna?" She asked.

Alex raised his brows at his mum.

"You can't seriously be asking me about her now, after everything she has done."

"Are you still taking her side?"

"No, I am not. I was only just asking."

"I don't know where she is mum. I told her to leave and she left early this morning. I didn't bother asking where she was going," he explained.

"I am sorry for all that she caused you," His mum said.
