Invitation To Her Wedding

CHAPTER TWO

Invitation To Her Wedding

Chloe was scrubbing her father's limp body when Isabella walked into the room with Sarah. The sight of her stepmom and stepsister made Chloe's heart sink. She had always known that Isabella despised her, but the look on her face was different this time.

"Chloe, come here," She said in a stern voice, holding out an envelope.

Chloe put down the washcloth and walked over to her stepmom, taking the envelope from her hand. She opened it and pulled out the invitation card. It was an invitation to her own wedding.

At first, Chloe thought it was a joke. She chuckled nervously, hoping that her stepmom would laugh and tell her that it was all a prank. But when she saw the look on Natasha's face, she knew that it was real.

Chloe's heart began to race as she tried to process the information. How could they do this to her? After everything she had been through, how could they sell her off like a piece of property?

Tears welled up in Chloe's eyes, and she looked at Isabella with a mixture of confusion and sadness. She couldn't believe that her stepmom would do something like this, especially after what she had done to Chloe in the past.

"I don't understand," Chloe said through her tears. "Why are you doing this to me?"

Isabella's face hardened, and she leaned in closer to Chloe. "You will do as you're told," she hissed. "If you don't marry this man, you'll be out on the street with nothing."

“But why?” She cried, clenching her fist in anger, “Why do I have to get married to a total stranger? Why do I have to do that?”

Chloe was only five when her mom died. She was still finding it difficult to cope with the fact that she wouldn't be seeing her mom anymore until her dad remarried.

Isabella was sweet to her for some weeks after she got in, but it changed suddenly, and she began to maltreat her. Her dad never believe she when she told him.

It got worse when Sarah was born and up to age, she would make Chloe do every chores for her and she couldn't turn it down because of her mom. Chloe was always hoping for the day she would escape from them.

They both made her life a hell and her dad couldn't do anything about it, he wouldn't believe her because they would always act nice to her around him, so he thought she was just lying because she hated the idea of having a Stepmom from the start.

Now, her dad has been sick for years and half of his body was paralyzed, he could see for himself the way Isabella and Sarah treats Chloe, but it was a pity that he still couldn't do anything about it.

Chloe hated Isabella as much as she hates her, but she had nothing to do about that, because she was helpless.

She could say Isabella ruined her life, she made her do what she should never have done.

“Do I look like I’m in the mood to answer your questions?” Isabella chuckled, “No dear, you have to get married and that is final, just be prepared.”

“You should even be happy, you’ll be getting married to a billionaire,” Sarah giggled.

“Why not get get married to him then?” Chloe wiped her tears as they rolled down, “He is a billionaire right? And you love material things, you should just get married to him and..”

“How dare you speak to me like that!” Sarah flared and tried to move closer to Chloe, but Isabella stopped her.

“You don’t have to do anything Sarah, she will get married, whether she likes it or not.”

Sarah nodded at her mom, and she was finally allowed to move closer to Chloe, "You should be grateful Chloe, because no one else would want to get married to a woman like you," she said, "A woman who would carry another man's child for money. Your mom died because of you, and see your dad now too, you are a bad luck Chloe, and no man would ever want to be with you because of your past," she laughed.

Chloe felt her heart racing, she couldn't hold back her tears, she was being humiliated by the same people who were behind all that happened to me her.

Isabella forced her into being a surrogate mother for someone she had never met before just because of money. She lied to her, she told her that she was going to use it for her dad's treatment, but she never did.

She deceived her, and now Chloe was being humiliated for it. She was innocent and they made use of her Innocence, she would always regret the day she made the decision to do that.

“Big sister, just get married and get away from our lives and house,” Sarah muttered.

“Your wedding is in few days Chloe, you are not allowed to step out of this house till them, I don’t want you to run away,” she turned towards her room, “Take care of your cripple dad and feed him.” She walked away with Sarah.

Chloe felt like she had been punched in the gut. She had no choice but to go through with this wedding, even though the thought of marrying a stranger made her sick to her stomach.

She cried as she walked back to her room, feeling like her life had been taken away from her once again. All she could do was hope that somehow, things would work out in her favor.

Chloe's pain was palpable. She felt like her world was crumbling around her. She had already been through so much, and now her stepmom was forcing her to get married to an unknown man.

The tears flowed freely down her cheeks as she walked to her tiny room, picking her leg one after the other. She felt helpless and trapped, like there was no escape from the situation she was in.

Her heart ached with sadness and despair. She didn't want to be forced into a marriage that she didn't want. She didn't want to be controlled by her stepmom anymore.

Chloe felt like she had no control over her life, like she was just a pawn in someone else's game. She wished that she could stand up for herself, that she could make her own choices and decisions.

But she was too afraid to do that. She didn't want to end up on the streets, with no one to turn to. So, she just lay there, crying and feeling sorry for herself.

Chloe's pain was not just physical, but emotional too. She felt like she had lost everything, like she had no purpose or meaning in her life anymore. It was a deep, soul-crushing pain that she didn't know how to heal.

She got into her room and sat on the edge of her small bed, clutching the invitation card in her trembling hand. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she struggled to come to terms with what she had just been told. She had always known that her stepmom, Natasha, despised her, but she never imagined that she would go as far as to sell her off in marriage.

The pain in Chloe's chest was suffocating, and her sobs were uncontrollable. She couldn't believe that her life had come to this. She had already been through so much, being a surrogate mother for an unknown man just to save her paralyzed dad's life, only for Natasha to squander the money they had made.

Chloe felt trapped and helpless, like a bird in a cage with no hope of escape. She knew that she couldn't refuse the marriage without losing everything, including her home and the only family she had left.

As she cried, Chloe couldn't help but think about the life she had always dreamed of. She had always imagined falling in love and building a life with someone she truly cared about, but now all those dreams had been shattered.

The pain in her heart was too much to bear, and Chloe lay down on her bed, crying herself to sleep. She didn't know what the future held for her, but she knew one thing for sure - it was going to be a life of misery and pain.
