Chapter Nineteen

A fit of nausea jolted me awake.

I ran to the bathroom, lowering myself down to the toilet seat to puke out my guts. I retched till the remnant of the dinner I had the night before was down the toilet, till all I could puke out was bile. I sat down on the floor, leaning against the cold tile when the urge to puke was gone.

It was the third time that week I’d had to throw up so early in the morning all of a sudden. I’d at a moment thought it was just a bug but as it persisted I started to get worried.

I got up from the bathroom floor and washed my face with cold water before brushing my teeth to get rid of the foul taste of my regurgitated dinner.

Walking back to my room, I glanced at the small alarm clock on my bedside table, it was just past three am, three hours earlier than the time I have to get up to start doing my chores.
