Chapter Sixteen

“Hera, please wait!” Dylan’s voice said as he followed me around the house. He had been trying to talk to me for the past few days and I’d been avoiding him under the guise that I was busy with my chores. Just so I wouldn’t talk to him, I started to wash already lean plates and iron already ironed clothes. I swept and tidied the rooms again even though I had already done it before. I was ready to do everything all over again if it would mean he would back off away from me.

“Hera, please!” He pleaded.

“I’m sorry, sir. I really have to do the laundry. Ms. Amelia would be mad if she came back and find out that I was her the wash the clothes she asked me to.” It was a lie. I had already washed all that clothes the previous day but I was in no mood to talk to Dylan. I didn’t know what he wanted to say to me and although I was curious, I didn’t want to satisfy my curiosity.
