Chapter Twenty Six

I know most people will find it weird that I had only just met this man and yet, I openly confessed about my affair with my boss's husband a piece of information that even Regina couldn't get out of me (she had once asked who the father of my child was, a question to which I'd given no answer to).

I don't know what it was about him exactly but I thought he could ask me any question and I would answer.

Any questions whatsoever.

He had the kind of face, the kind of aura that you just couldn't lie 'cause he'd know you were lying, no matter how much of a good liar you are.

He looked like the kind of person you could tell anything and he wouldn't judge you for it.

"Seeing as you are here must mean he didn't assume responsibility for his actions." It wasn't a question but I still decided to ask anyways.

"No," I said memories of that night flooding back into my mind. I'd promised myself that I would forget him but how could I, when I was carrying a part of him? How could I when the wor
