Silas and I walk hand in hand in silence. After a minute he tells me, “Kai and Genevieve are at the pack doctor.”
I nod as I ask, “Is she okay?”“Not sure, Kai is acting short.”He’s not the only one, I think to myself. The situation is awkward, I don’t know how I’m supposed to behave with Silas, he’s supposed to be my mate and I am sure that he is hurt over the fact that I marked someone else whenever I knew we were supposed to be together.I can tell when we walked into the pack hospital because everything smells like chemicals, and it reminds me of being locked up.
