Nadia told me to postpone my time with Apollo and to make up a girl emergency. I did what she said even though I felt bad for lying to my mate.

I sit on my bed as I wait for the pack doctor to get there, and I hope that Nadia is just overreacting. Having to see a doctor makes me feel extremely anxious- it’s weird for wolves to need to see the doctor unless they just finished fighting someone or unless they were pregnant.

A knock on the door and Nadia rushes to answer it and says, “Oh thank you, Dr. Benson, for coming so quickly.”

The woman’s voice sounds kind as she says, “Of course, anything for our Luna, what seems to be the trouble?”

Nadia closes the door and I hear her lock it and I wonder why she’s trying so hard to keep this under wraps. If only I could see to understand what the urgency is.

I hear Dr. Benson murmur, “Oh dear.”
