Lux
I knelt beside Apollo and placed one hand on his face. I could hear his labored breathing and the sound of his heartbeat has slowed drastically.
Tears begin to pour down my face, I never wanted this for him.
He tells me through a strained voice, “I’m sorry I caged you. I just wanted to keep you safe. I never should’ve agreed to such a ridiculous scheme.”
“It’s okay, it’s okay, Apollo. You’ll be alright, just hang in there, okay?” My heart is breaking seeing him so weak. He may have hurt me and done some wrong things, but he doesn’t deserve to die. Kodi whimpers in my mind and I know she is feeling a lot of pain over the potential loss of our mate.“I love you, Lux.” He murmurs and I can hear his heartbeat is getting slower and I call out, “Mom!
