Mia's POV

"Idiot. She doesn't even know what she just did now,"

I heard Mabel mumble. I had to clench my palms to prevent myself from retorting. I didn't have hearing as sensitive as that of people with wolves, so if I heard the mumble, then she surely meant me to hear it.

She has been mumbling invectives against me ever since she learnt I was the one that persuaded others to come save her, and that had been an hour ago. It was enough to drive anyone crazy, and it was driving me crazy like a persistent fly that has taken a liking to my ears.

I clenched my fists and told myself to just ignore her. I was already pissed off as it is, and talking with Mabel was sure to piss me off even more. I bit my lips as she made one more cutting remark and turned my attention to stuff that had happened earlier that day.

But her incessant grumbling wouldn't let me, and soon, I was caught up listening to her list all my faults, all of which she made sound like a world ending sort of fault. I hit my
