Selena's POV

Gently, I traced my fingers over the bloodstains on Hazel's back, my heart pounding with worry. The tension in the room seemed to heighten as I examined the wounds. His breath caught, but he made no move to stop me.

"Hazel, what happened?" I whispered, my voice barely audible in the silent room.
