Haley I can see the hope in Avery’s eyes when he asked if I will stay with him. Part of me wants to say yes immediately, but I need him to listen to what Freya told me before I tell him my answer. Spartan I am so happy our mate is finally awake. Avery and I were going stir crazy every day our mate didn’t budge. I was worried she would never wake up. “Hazel? Haley When I wake up the next morning I see Avery watching me. He looks very tired. “Have you been watching me all night?” “Mostly. I haven’t been able to sleep since that day and I was still nervous you wouldn’t wake up.” “I’m fine now. Haley It’s been a week and Mason hasn't been able to track down Hope’s daughter, Akila. I worry the longer she is out there alone the more likely someone who wants to harm her will find her first. Mason has been gone all week and only just returned to rest and replenish his gear before heading back out. We also still haven’t had any of our students show up. Haley “Whoa there Haley. Are you okay?” Mason has a hand under my elbow to support me and Harrison is pushing a chair underneath me. I huff a bit frustrated and walk away from them. “I’m fine Mason. Just a lot of stress lately.” “Haley, you almost fainted. You should go see Dr. Sully,” Mason insists. “She vomited early too,” betrays Ray and I glare at him. “I’m fine. Haley My heart is racing and I feel guilty that I just put my pup in a dangerous situation. A tear falls down my face and Mason picks up the speed. “I’m sorry Haley. I shouldn’t have let you accept that challenge. He’s going to kill me.” I still have no words to reply to him. I think I am in shock. All that fighting could’ve hurt my pup, “Haley?” I still don’t answer as tears continue to fall. Alpha Avery I’m going to kick my brother’s ass. He should’ve told me immediately when Haley got challenged for her position, especially since it was Amanda. By the time I make it to the training field Mason mind linked me that he is already taking Haley to the hospital. I’m pissed that I wasted time as the hospital is across town and it’ll take me twenty minutes to get there. I can feel Haley’s fear and nervousness. She’s refusing to let me through the mind link and that just makes me worry about her more. I can still feel my connection to her so I know she won the challenge but that doesn’t mean she wasn’t badly hurt.
