Haley Avery gives me a quick kiss before heading to his house to shower. I rush upstairs and jump in the shower as well, letting the hot water soothe my sore muscles. As soon as I’m finished and I get dressed, I go to blow dry my hair. The minute I turn it on, white powder is blown in my face and in my hair. Haley After I dismissed our waiter, a young waitress takes his place. She is definitely eyeing Avery but she isn’t inappropriate which is fine by me. You can look but don’t touch. The food is amazing just as Avery promised. Haley Alpha Avery continues to show me around the pack house. It really is quite beautiful. The basement I see has been remodeled to be more like a huge game room with a fully stocked bar and spare bedrooms. The top floor is called the hobby room but I see it’s used for more like storage at the moment. Maybe I can change that. We go back down to the second floor and he explains that there are two bedrooms along with the master suite before trying to drag me back to the first floor. “Hang on, let’s see where the great Alpha Avery spends his time,” I laugh before opening his bedroom door. My jaw drops. His room is huge with two closets, a whirlpool tub, walk in shower and a fireplace. Surprisingly he is very clean and organized. Alpha Avery I wake up the next morning in pure bliss. My beautiful mate spent the night and is currently sleeping peacefully in my arms. I wanted so badly to mark her last night but I didn’t want to push my luck. I hope she doesn’t regret what we did last night when she wakes up. “Alpha,” says Mason through the mind link. “You better have a good reason for interrupting my morning.” “Sorry but we captured a Red Moon scout. Haley A few weeks have gone by since my first date with Avery and I’ve never felt happier. He told me about Hope and I am deeply saddened that she died. Avery had to keep telling me it wasn’t my fault but I still feel like it is. Nick and Ray have officially become my personal guards but Avery refuses to relieve Harrison and Aiden. He thinks I need the extra guards. I have been training hard to build up my strength and I was finally able to take down Nick this morning. I still have a long way to go but that is good progress to me. “Okay little badass, let’s take a break. I’m starving.” “Sounds good to me Nick. Alpha Avery Haley has pretty much moved into my room. She has been here every night and I love it. Slowly she has been bringing more and more of her clothes into my room, taking up very little close space but I’ll soon change that. I have been wanting to bring up marking her but we are in such a good place that I have been to nervous to bring it up. I trained with her this morning for a bit and I am very pleased with how strong she has gotten. I have meetings all afternoon and have to leave her with the boys. She has been a bit annoyed with me for keeping Harrison and Aiden as her guards, but with the threat of an attack by Alpha Jake I am not taking any chances. Haley I recognize some of these wolves. They are Red Moon warriors and they’re after me. Quickly Crescent Moon wolves are on the defense and Harrison is dragging me out the back door with Nick and Ray behind me. “Haley, let’s go!” “Where are we going Harrison?” “The pack house has a panic room. We need to get you inside. We need to shift.” “No, they’ll immediately recognize me.” “Shit. Boys shift, Haley stay behind us,” Harrison orders. The boys shift and we race towards the pack house. The people are in a panic as they try to get off the streets safely. I notice a young girl pinned down and I immediately change direction. “Haley! No!” I ignore the mind link and tackle the wolf as I shift, sinking my teeth into it’s neck. I gag at the awful metallic taste as Hazel takes over to rip the wolf’s throat out. “Run,” I mind link the girl who snaps out of it and runs away.
