Broken trust

Grace parked her car a few kilometres away from their home. She looked at herself from the mirror and put more concealer on her swollen eyes.

“I should have put more so Frank won’t ask me questions about this.”

She sighed deeply before she started the engine and the guard quickly opened the gate for her. She gave them the keys to park the car.

“Is Frank here?”

“No, Ma’am.”

Grace nodded and walked straight to the house. She looked around and felt empty but she felt tired today even though she did not do anything tiring. Of course before she headed to the bedroom she walked to her baby’s room.

“I met your dad, he seemed not fine but I hope he’ll move on soon.”

The she looked up to the ceiling and fan herself to stop crying. But she could not because every time she would avoid it there was circumstances that made them cross together their path.

“I’ll do my promise to you baby.”

Then, she went straight to the shower room as she could not control her emotion and took her pills immediately.
