Chapter 26

VIOLET’S POV

It was a new day, but I was in pain. My entire body, including my head, hurt, and at first, I was confused, I had no memory of being in any battle, let alone a war. That was until the memories I thought I didn’t have played in my mind.

I sat up abruptly, no doubt looking like a mad woman, and my mouth hung open. I can’t believe I mated with them, I thought, pushing myself off the giant bed that was now empty of their presence. It had only the scent they left behind and even that was a mixture of mine and sex. I wondered where they were off to, but I pushed the thought away, deciding to worry about the shooting pain between my legs instead.

I winced as I stood, scanning the room. I walked over to the dresser, checking to see if amidst last night’s event I had been marked. Letting out a sigh of relief, I placed my hand on the table to calm my racing heart when I sighted no mark whatsoever.

This is dumb - she can do the same job at her new pack. Blue Claw’s Alpha doesn’t want her there and earlier in the book she said she’s not even comfortable while on pack lands.
