Chapter 46

VIOLET’S POV

She looked at me with bloodshot eyes. She definitely was intent on taking a life, mine. She growled, swiping her knife for the obvious part of my body that could bleed me out faster than other parts but I saw it coming. Too fast she went, too fast, I had to dodge.

“Just die already! Haven’t you done enough? Why did you have to come back?” I was too busy focusing on not dying to ask questions when I obviously had too much to ask. Done enough? Done what exactly?

She attacked again, going for once wounded calves like she knew there had been an injury there. But her moves were clear still and I could see right through them.

But where she saw she couldn’t get a cut anywhere, she was quick to use a trick I should have seen coming. Clara grabbed a fist full of my hair and yanked me back, making me stumble, almost falling.

Aurora yelped, taking a step towards the fight to help but Tracy pulled her back much to my relief. The last thing I wanted was to worry more about her surviva
