Author’s POVPast continues...Twelve years old Chase was sitting on his knees in front of a grave with tears flowing non stop from his eyes. The name on the grave read Valerie, his sister. The fact that he won’t be able to see his sister ever again was ripping his heart in millions of pieces. The only person he loved with his whole heart after his mother passed away was gone now and he wasn’t even there in her last moment. The poor kid was sobbing uncontrollably in front of his sister’s grave. He kept apologizing to her in his heart for not being able to protect her, for not being there for her when she needed him the most.He was in the middle of self blaming when he heard someone approaching near him from behind.“Chase…” Frank said and his voice cracked. In an instant Chase’s eyes turned cold, his jaw tightened and his hands curled into tight fists. And everything that has happened since the day Albert came to his house and before he went to juvie started playing in his min
Author’s POVCara was sitting in the living room, in front of her laptop completing the assignment she has to submit tomorrow. She lifted her eyes up to look at Chase who was in the kitchen, making her favourite pasta for dinner. “Do you need any help?” she asked him making him shift his gaze towards her. “It’s almost done…” he suddenly paused in the middle of his sentence. Cara saw a playful smile breaking onto his lips when he continued, “Actually yes. I do need your help”. “And what is it that you need my help with?” she asked folding her arms over her chest and resting her back to the back rest of the couch. An amusing smile was plastered on her own lips. “If you could give me a kiss, it would have been perfect. You know I am in dire need of it right now” he said it so seriously as if he was talking to a doctor and was asking for a medicine. “Hmm… I have to think about it. As you might remember how you attacked me with lots of kisses as soon as we entered in the house, afte
Author’s POVCara put her phone on her lap after disconnecting the call with Chase. But kept staring at it waiting for him to call back after taking care of the things in club. He said he would call her again as soon as things settle. She can’t deny the fact that she is feeling really anxious at the moment. But talking to him continuously was making her feel less scared. She heard the doorbell of the apartment ringing and jumped on her place feeling her heart beat increasing. She lifted her hand up to pat her chest lightly to calm her pounding heart. ‘It must be George. You don’t have to be scared’ she told herself. But her brows knitted together when she remembered what Chase told her before disconnecting the call.He said that George is stuck in the traffic and it would take at least ten minutes for him to reach here. She gulped in fear. It’s not even been two minutes since Chase told her that. It can’t be George. She flinched when she heard the doorbell again. She took h
Author’s POVCara blinked her eyes feeling a sharp pain in her eyes and head. Her eyes seemed so heavy and the swelling around them made it difficult for her to open them without feeling any pain.Ignoring the pain she again tried to open her eyes slowly, ready to be blinded by some sort of light which will definitely make her headache worse. But nothing of that sort happened. Her eyes fell on the dirty ceiling of the room she was in right now.The only light that was illuminating this cold room was coming from a window. You couldn’t actually call it a window. It was more like a small hole on the wall, almost touching the ceiling. The lack of light in the room was causing her eyes to ache even more. She tried sitting up pulling her hand to rub her aching temple but then she felt something heavy restricting her movements. She looked at her wrist to find a heavy chain stopping her from moving her hand. She instantly sat up. The floor she was sitting on was cold. She tried to p
Author’s POVFour years ago...Both Chase and Law were seventeen years old high school students in Victoria High.As always Chase was not so friendly with anyone around him, except George and John. Both of them had never talked with one another before. But they were not sworn enemies either as they are in present. But all of it changed after that day.Chase was minding his own business at the backyard of old building of this school which was not in use right now.He was sitting on an empty bench doing something in his phone. Author’s POV Chase stopped the car when he reached at the location Albert sent to him. He came out of his car and found himself standing in front of an old abandoned warehouse. His heart was still trembling in his chest for Cara. He just hoped that she is okay and is waiting for him. He moved his gaze to take in his surrounding and saw no one. He frowned. He thought the place would be guarded by at least few goons if not by many but it looked like there was not a single living being breathing around here. He was just about to fish his phone from his pocket when his phone started ringing making his jaw clench. He slid his fingers over the phone screen and put it over his ear. His grip on his phone tightened when he heard the voice, “Finally you are here”. Chase moved his gaze and it fell on the person he wants to kill at this very moment with his bare hands, standing near the entrance of the warehouse. “Come on my boy, we have so many things to catch up on” Albert said and turn
Author’s POV“Okay I will do as you say, just don’t do anything to him” Cara let out with shaky breath.Chase stood there stunned. His wide open eyes were stuck on his girlfriend who just said something which shook him to his core. She said those words so easily as if it wasn’t a big deal. But Chase knew better. He knows how she must be feeling in her heart while uttering those words. How scared she must be feeling deep inside, he knows. He can clearly see the goosebumps covering her entire body even from this distance. The way her voice trembled while uttering those words, her shaky breath, everything, he could see everything. He knew how she felt about him. He knew the feelings she had in her heart for him were as strong as he had for her.Just like how he can do anything for her safety, how he can sacrifice himself just to protect her from any danger, she can also do anything for his sake, he knew. But still what she just uttered left him feeling shocked out of his senses.
