Chapter 31

Alyne slowly walked up to the small stage in the corner of the cafe, the band that often played gigs was unable to attend so she was again assigned to fill the vacancy that night.  Her hand grabbed the guitar handle that rested sweetly on the corner of the stage and sat on the chair that had been provided.  Her slender fingers began to pluck the guitar strings one by one creating a beautiful melody that was ready to greet the ears of the visitors.

Dear diary I want to tell you about him 

What used to stop in my heart 

Since then 

My life has been happy 

Because he is always in my life

But now he is gone 

And I don't know where 

My diary is 

I miss him 

My love, where are you?  

The tears have run out and the words have been quiet 

There is applause from several cafe patrons when Alyne ends the song.  The girl smiled sweetly before finally getting off the
