Chapter Forty-Nine

Avoiding the first light of dawn that was glowing through the window, I rolled to my right, raised my eyelids, and saw Atlas staring at me.

Then he smiled slightly, and I couldn't stop my lips from curving upward.

"Good morning," Atlas whispered.

"Morning." I calmly uttered as I focused on his face.

Staring at the innocent look in his eyes, I couldn't find the strength to pull back when he leaned towards me and kissed me lightly on the lips.

As a sense of calmness overcame me, I giggled faintly before rolling off Atlas's arm and getting out of bed. Then I headed into the bathroom.
