Keep up

I closed my eyes, letting out a heavy sigh. Every day had been so monotonous. So stressful and suffocating. Lying in an old bed in a fancy hospital, with various wires sticking into my skin, pulling in substances that would help my body, was exhausting.

Alisha stayed in the hospital for seven days.

I had never felt such an eternal week, every hour sounded like an eternity and I feared I would freak out at the great possibility of developing a different version of me, with so much time available the most twisted nonsense surfaced making camp for hours that I didn't even dare to sleep.
