Ryan's POV
"Lia?!" I called and the lady stopped. I expected her to turn to look at me but instead she gently pat her side pocket and then pulled out her phone. She probably didn't stop because I called her. Or chances were she wasn't Lia and the perfume was just the same.
"Ah!" I tilted my head. "What was I thinking? Even if she was the one, I barely knew what she looked like behind the mask."
I headed onto the exit, joined Ann in the car and I drove off.
"I'll take you home." I told Ann.
"No!" She was quick to decline. "I'll stay at yours."
I looked at her briefly and chuckled.
"I'm staying with Mom for Christmas."
"I know." She shrugged and I looked at her in surprise.
"And you're staying?"
"Yeah, it's not like it's the first time." She drawled with a slight smile.
"Oh! True." I nodded and stepped on the accelerator to increase my speed
