"Do you need help getting those wounds taken care of? I don't see anyone else around who can assist you here," I crossed my arms and looked at him sternly.

Ethan reluctantly lifted his head after a few seconds and leaned it back so I could see him better.

I delicately held his head and used the cotton I had to carefully clean the wound on his head, which was the one I was most concerned about.

"This is going to sting a little bit," I said before gently pressing the cotton against his skin.

He reacted quickly to the stinging sensation and pulled his head away, gripping onto my dress.

"Be more careful."

"I'm being as careful as possible, I told you it would sting a bit," I held his head again and proceeded to disinfect the wound with alcohol, also wiping away the blood to assess how serious the injury was.

He stopped complaining, but still held onto my dress tightly.
