CHAPTER 3

Ethan gasped in shock and amusement. He had entirely forgotten that he called Beatrix to come over.

"Shhhhit" he whispered under his breath.

His heart began to pound hastily. Beatrix was too fast. He prayed that she wouldn't suspect anything.

He quickly puts Amanda back to bed without hesitation and dresses her properly. He then made sure the bed cover didn't look so textured and rough.

He then tucked his tuxedo in properly and stiffened his collar as well, adjusting his staff badge to look more professional. He made sure his trousers were aligned.

He then walked quickly towards the door.

"Nothing happened. She won't know. She was drunk. She asked for it!  Goddamn it!" He then took a deep breath in and relieved it, reassuring himself.

"Where's she? How did she get here?" Beatrix screamed as soon as Ethan pulled the electric door open.

Beatrix was a beauty queen. She looked like one of those celebs.

She was a tall, pretty, blonde lady. She had a low skin opacity tone. Thanks to her black lips and eyes, she looked sharply contrasted.

The two mounds in front of her were way too heavy. Someone should help her carry them.

Beatrix dashed inside the room, chewing gum like a little girl.

Right behind her were two hefty men in black Elmond III suits carrying security devices. These were one of the expensive brands in the city.

At this point, Ethan had no choice but to conclude that this in fact was the popular Mr. Winston's daughter. The daughter to the richest man in New Hilton city.

The manager of Lynch also dashed in alongside his secretary. He looked at Ethan with rage as he saw him beside Amanda.

Ethan seemed to smell trouble emerging. What had he done? Did they know?

"How did this happen? She rarely drinks, not to mention drink to stupor." Beatrix asked curiously, looking in Ethan's direction.

Was she suspecting him for something? He paused.

"Well, Miss. She was about to collide with the ground from the staircase when I saw her and caught her. She was drunk and then I put her to bed as she instructed." Ethan defended shakingly but firmly.

"You fool! Why didn't you give me or any of the higher staff a call? In a room with the CEO? You are fired!" The manager spat unfavorably directly at Ethan's face.

"We really apologise for the inconveniences Miss. Beatrix. Please, we assure you that this will never happen again!"

The manager kept pleading with Beatrix for Amanda's case even though she wasn't very angry.

"Help her up and let's go!" Beatrix ordered the men in black suits.

"But ma'am, you've got to believe me. I only helped her and brought her to the room. Please, I can't afford to lose my job. Help me." Ethan began to plead his knees on the ground.

Beatrix looked down at the kneeling Ethan. He was far too handsome and muscular to plead in this manner.

"Stay in your lane next time and be sure to report to higher staff. Is that clear?"

"Let him regain his position" Beatrix told the manager and followed the men as they helped Beatrix up and walked out the door carrying Amanda's purse.

"Your wish is my command Miss. I'll call to know how she is, please" the manager spoke like a dead dog.

Soon, they all left and Ethan was left alone in the room. He sat on the bed and relieved a heavy sigh. He had his job secured.

What would he tell his parents back in Mexico? That he lost his job because he became intimate with a CEO?

Honestly though, he would never forget this night. It was like a dream he had never had. He enjoyed it so much and definitely must tell Jameson about it.

He looked to the heavens and prayed for forgiveness. He knew that he had wronged Father. Guilt flew past his eyes.

As he stood up to call the room service to tidy up the room, he saw something on the floor.

It was two cards lying on the floor.

The first was a Debit card and the second was the contact card of the CEO of Winston company. The multi-billion dollar company.

The two cards belonged to Amanda. They must have fallen from her purse.

His thoughts flew as he imagined the amount of billions that would be in that account.

This was his moment. He wanted to keep the two cards to himself, hopefully, he would find her someday.

He quickly rushed and dashed outside the room to follow them and return Amanda's property when he saw something that would strike him to death!

  *******

Colton sat quietly on a bar stool sipping a bottle of Carlsberg. He had his sun shades on as usual.

He was lost in thoughts despite having alot of girls around him in the bar. They were all strippers dancing in different momentum and waves.

He had driven into Lynch Bar few minutes ago to relieve his nerves. His plan needed to work soonest.

He was always coming over to the bar and was highly respected as well.

As he gulped another bottle down his oesophagus, he was sparked by his next sight.

He saw two men carrying Amanda down the stairs. She was drunk.

Besides her was a lady. She was so beautiful and curvy that Colton's jaw almost dropped.

He quickly stood up and paced towards them.

"What's wrong with Amanda? What happened to her?" He asked Beatrix in framed curiosity like he cared.

Beatrix was taken aback by Colton's appearance. She instantly fell in love with him.

She admired the colour of his hair. He usually stayed in black, but this time, it was tinted red oxide. He wore a black Tee-shirt that was buttoned halfway, revealing his muscular chest.

He also folded the handle of his shirt upwards, revealing his bicep curls.

"Well hello there Mr. Handsome. Who are you? I haven't seen you around Amanda before. She's not in a good state of mind and needs to return home" Beatrix answered, still looking straight into Colton's eyes.

Colton guessed right. This was the famous influencer on TikTok and I*******m. Was she Amanda's friend?

He already sensed that she had fallen for him. Who wouldn't fall?

"Are you the famous Trixia Gum on social media?" Colton asked amusingly.

"I bet you know my influential products." Beatrix chuckled and offered a free smile.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, I'm Colton. Amanda's childhood friend." Colton lied partly, extending his hands to her.

"I'm Beatrix. Nice meeting." Beatrix shook his hand.

The two of them were abruptly disrupted when Amanda sneezed while still being held by the two men in suit.

"Get outta here Colton. I don't want to see you. Where's the bartender? Bring him to me now!!" Amanda's speech staggered.

"It seems she took too much, she needs to get some rest. Ha..ha." Colton spat immediately and forced a fake smile so as not to arouse any qestion from Beatrix.

"But, who's the bartender?" He asked curiously.

Just about the same minute, a young man, Ethan came running towards them with the two cards in his hands.

"Ma'am, she forgot something." Ethan painted.

"Well, he is the bartender who claims to have saved Amanda." Beatrix said, pointing to Ethan.

Ethan's eyes met with Colton's shades.

  Colton's eyes met with Ethan's.

"It can't be!" Ethan mumured to himself as he shrugged in fear as soon as his brain recognized the figure standing a few feet away from him.

His legs began to shake as his heartbreak increased.

Danger was knocking on the door!
