"Mia, it feels like forever since I saw you," Kaylar said, a warm smile spreading across her face as her best friend dismissed the nurse that had accompanied her.

Mia grinned mischievously, sliding onto the edge of Kaylar's bed and placing the stethoscope she had been wearing on the side table. "Well, I had to make sure these nurses weren't hogging all your attention. Can't have that!"

Kaylar rolled her eyes, playfully swatting at Mia's arm. "Oh, please! Like anyone could steal your spotlight."

Their laughter filled the room as Mia leaned in closer, her brows raised teasingly. "So, babes, omg, so Dean informed me that you're pregnant, huh?"

"Mia, I can't believe you're teasing me about this!" Kaylar exclaimed, blushing slightly.

Mia chuckled and shrugged. "Well, it's exciting news! I couldn't resist."

A blush crept up Kaylar's cheeks, but she couldn't help but smile. "Yes, I am Mia. We're having a baby."
