''Mark, where you responsible for the shooting in Remus' mansion?'' Daniella asked.
Ever since, she had been away for a much needed holiday and when she got back, she was greeted with the news that Remus' somewhat impenetrable fortress was attacked. The only person that came to her mind that was capable of doing that was Mark.
''No.'' he simply said.
Daniella didn't know whether to believe him because he was always fond of telling lies. That was something she hated about him but the thing was that she couldn't hold it against him because she was benefiting from him. Any rude talks from her would get her kicked from the house and the streets now in times like this wasn't very appealing.
''Like I said before, my daughter, God bless her soul, before she died spoke a lot about you. Good things.'' she began.Sylvia knew it wouldn't be a good thing for her to interrupt her and so, she waited patiently for her to finish talking. As she spoke, she saw so much of Jacinta in her mother. Her grace and gentleness was one of the things that were prominent in her.It was the way she spoke that had Sylvia's heart clutching in her chest. She really missed her and if she had the power to bring her back to life, she would do it without missing a heartbeat.''You have to be re
''Sit down Sylvia, i'll bring in the reports.'' Brett said. They were in the library, just after they finished their meals. Sylvia knew that whatever Brett wanted to tell her couldn't wait and they had to talk about it now. She also had a feeling that he had discovered something big about Mark.A few minutes later, he returned with something that looked so much like a map. Sylvia was a bit confused on why he would bring a map when she had expected him to bring files but all the same, she remained quiet.Brett proceeded to spread the map on the table which ended up filling about a quarter of the table.''Brett, what's this?'' Sylvia asked. She couldn't quite keep her curiosity in check and wanted to know what the map was for. If Mark was in one of those cities within the map, she wouldn't hesitate to fish him out. He had caused so much harm to her and all she wanted was to get back her pound of flesh.''Sylvia, calm down.'' he smiled. He proceeded to bring down some markers from the st
''Alright, so you're just going to go?'' Remus asked. It was the following day and somehow, he had been hoping that Sylvia would change her mind somehow but she didn't. She had been so serious about going back home and at that moment, there was nothing he could do to change her mind.''Sadly, yes.'' Sylvia sighed. She needed to stay close to her house in case Mark tried anything rash. The last thing she would want to happen was for her family to get attacked without backing, that would be the worst thing and she wasn't sure she could handle it.
'I'll miss you.'' Sylvia sighed. She had come to see him briefly when he told her he would be going for a mission and now she was already missing him even when he wasn't gone yet.She reclined on the bed, watching him as he dressed up in preparation for his trip. She didn't know when he would be back because whenever she asked him, he always gave her a vague answer.''I'll miss you more my love but don't worry, I promise to check up on you everytime. I'll miss you too.'' Remus smiled.Sylvia sat up on the bed just as he finished dressing up. He walked tow
Remus walked into his hotel building with a serious look on his face. He was there for business and not to smile or crack jokes and he knew that the only thing that could make him smile was Sylvia who sadly was back in New York.He could have allowed her to accompany him but he wasn't sure there wouldn't be any battle since his line of work was always filled with action and suspense. His wolf growled within him and Remus knew a threat was close by. That was the only time his wolf ever growled. He was in company of ten of his trusted men and so far, nothing unusual had happened.''Alpha Remus.'' one of his men said.Mathias Wilfred, Alpha of another smaller pack and one of Remus's enemies, walked into the building with some of his own men too. Though their fight was a cold one, Remus never lost his guard because he believed that Mathias was planning something and now that Mark was in the picture, it could be big.Even a blind person could see that Mathias was jealous of Remus because o
Remus's POVWhen I was done with what I came to do, I traveled back to my work base-home. Every minute without knowing what Sylvia was doing had me worried. I wanted to be with her every moment and time. She gave me a sense of security, a sense of knowing what to do which was all I needed at that point in my life.''Hey baby.'' I said as soon as she picked up the call.I needed to tell her I was coming home very soon. I knew she might be worried about me. In fact, it was in her to be worried especially when she hadn't heard from me in a long time.''Hey love. It's still night here. Are you okay?'' she asked sleepily.I had forgotten that we were now in different time zones and so calling had to be planned but I had completely forgotten about all that.''Yes baby, I'm fine. I called to tell you that i would be coming home very soon.'' I smiled.''Hurry. I miss you. It just seems like you've been gone for more than a week.'' she sighed.''I know you've been lonely. Sorry about that lov
The next morning, Sylvia went to Remus 's house. She wanted to find out if he was truly alright. The way he had spoken on the phone wasn't so good and she just wanted to see him with her eyes.''Off to Remus's?'' Brett asked.Sylvia was about to step out of the house when she saw him by the patio. She couldn't begin to describe how grateful she was for his help. If it wasn't for him and his intervention, they would probably have been fighting now and it could have grown worse by the minute.''Yes. I want to see Remus , i got a very bad call from him yesterday night that Mark attacked him so i want to see
''What the fuck is your problem Mark?!'' Sylvia seethed.A few meters away from her house, there were loads of traffic on the way and this was something she didn't like at all.''Why now? goddamn.'' she sighed.Sylvia knew there was nothing she could do but to wait for it to reduce. After all, she couldn't fly above the cars that were lined up like flies on the ground. She decided to call Brett to find out the situation. When she had spoken to him earlier on, he wasn't really sounding convincing an
