Chapter 17. Visiting Anita.

"Hello, Temisa." Why did you call me this morning?" Anita asked Temisa, pushing her legs closer together.

"How are you this morning? Didn't you check the time, or are you just waking up this afternoon?" Temisa Inquired.

"No, I am in my room, though I am copying down something," Anita replied.

"What is that?" You don't sound cheerful. Tell me what the problem is." Temisa asked again.

"Nothing serious, just that my father finally apologizes to me today for all those humiliating years," Anita remarked.

"What! You're not joking about this, right?" Temisa asked.

"No, why would I lie to you? I'm sober right now, and he just left my room. Although I told my mom and the rest of them this morning that I had finally gotten a job, they were all overjoyed." Anita said.
