Chapter 17 ~ A problem

Arthur was in deep thought as he drove Kiana back to her apartment. Their lunch date ended abruptly when she received a text from Juliana about the Clear cosmetic new product formula and it wasn’t rocket science to know who leaked it when only a handful of people had access to it. “I have to check on something. Stay home in the meantime and don’t let anyone in especially Daniel, Joane will stand guard while I take care of something.”Arthur’s deep voice spoke as he packed the car outside Kiana’s apartment.

“What do you mean stand guard? And who is Joane?” Kiana asked as she looked at Arthur but he didn’t respond to her. Instead, he reached over to open the door, his huge frame brushing against her. Kiana’s breath hitched and her heart pounded heavily as his tantalising scent seeped into her nose.

He was too close to her…

“The door is open Angel, you can open your eyes.” Arthur teased making a blush creep up her cheeks as she released a breath she didn’t know she was holding.
