She dashed to the table next to the light where she had previously set her phone before entering the room to change.

She hurriedly dialed Sam's number, placing her hand on her waist while she waited for him to pick up the phone, which felt like an eternity, and then she heard his voice, “Sam, what happened? He left in a hurry!"
