Chapter 19

After a few minutes of silence I stood up. Then I leaned down to kiss Dahlia's forehead. She smiled and waved me goodbye as I stepped out of our cabin door closing it behind me.The hallway was still lite up. Amellia's door was partly open. I had the urge to check on her. See if she was okay. But I figured if she needed anything she would ask. So I make my way to the kitchen. I looked around into the cabinets and found where the dishes were that I needed to cook with. I found a pan for frying. Then I found a pot and a rice cooker. I started cooking the rice and boiling the water. I found the cabinet where all the seasonings were. I used a broth of chicken cube in the water that was not yet boiling. I put a little cornstarch in the water too. Topped it off a little heavy cream. I grabbed eggs from the refrigerator and I began to beat them all together with a little bit more milk salt and pepper. I was going to try my hand at making some egg drop soup for everyone.
