Chapter 25 The scheme

Aiden resolved to toil ceaselessly, determined to break free from his grandfather's control. But fate seemed determined to bind him in its grasp, no matter how hard he fought against it.

"Tomorrow, Aiden, we shall visit your nephew's grave together. Stay the night here and join me," his grandmother pleaded. Although he yearned to refuse, he couldn't bring himself to deny her request. Grandma held a special place in his heart, and he held her in utmost respect.

"Alright, grandma. I need some rest," he replied, rising from the dining table. But as he turned to leave, he couldn't hold back his anger any longer. "I know exactly what you're thinking. Stay out of my personal life, or you'll never see me again," he spat before storming away.

"Grandfather, it seems Aiden doesn't like me. What should I do?" she asked, her face filled with despair.

"Don't worry, my dear. He will come to love you," the old man comforted her.
