Sixty three

Hailey and Tara were seen walking towards their respective rides at the school garage when Tara suddenly stopped and glanced at her phone screen.

"What? Is something wrong?" Hailey took a quick peek at Tara's face.

"Nothing. I just saw a message from mom. I think my driver won't be able to pick me up," she mumbled and pursed her lips, clearly unhappy about it.

"I think he was involved in a minor accident while coming," she added, her eyes scanning the garage, and that was when she realized her car wasn't present.

Hailey's eyes landed on her own ride with her chauffeur in it. Nolan had arranged the chauffeur specifically for her.

"What now? How are you getting home?" Hailey shrugged lightly, turning back to Tara's face.

"I will just take a cab," Tara forced a smile, but Hailey knew she wasn't okay with it. It was a forced smile.

"What if I drop you off at your home?" Hailey suggested, and Tara's face instantly lit up.

"Really?" Tara said, smiling broadly.
