David took a long drag of smoke from the cigarette in his hands habang pinapanuod niya ang mga isda sa aquarium na lumalangoy. Ang mga isdang ito ay nasa kanya pa. . . pero iyong nagbigay ay wala na.

“Have you heard?” tanong ni Mathew mula sa likuran ni David.

David turned to him.“Heard what?”

“Her Royal Highness Princess Olga wasn't the real heiress apparent to the throne and crown.”

David shook his head before throwing the cigarette on the floor. “Where did you get that news?”

“Precilla called me.” Mathew stared at him in a serious manner.

"You're kidding, right?"

"How I wish," tugon ni Mathew at natawa.

Silence fell on them. Paano nangyari iyon? Kung hindi ang Prinsesa na si Olga ang tagapagmana, sino kung gano'n? Hindi maiwasan na hindi mag-isip ni David.

“His Majesty wants to talk to us,” Mathew announced, and walked to the bathroom, leaving David alone.

David shook his head again and immediately ran outside. He got inside his car and started the engine. Hindi siya makapaniwala s
