Chapter:-81 (Why?)

Author POV:-

Sara examines herself in the mirror, lazy tumbler in hand. Her outfit is impeccable, and her eyeliner is flawlessly applied. She can almost ignore the fact that it took her a lot longer than usual to accomplish this.If she squints and tilts her head just so, she nearly feels like herself again.

Like her old self, Brandon's words from this morning echo in her mind unhelpfully.

Shoving down the small voice that tells her she can't pretend forever and that those cracks in her composure will only widen and fracture until she's left with nothing but shards, she steps closer to the mirror to admire her handiwork.

It's perfect. Anyone who sees her wouldn't know about the aching absence of bugs crawling under her skin. Her facade is expertly crafted, her clothes crisp, her makeup sharp, not a hair out of place.

Sara's eyes catch on something that can't be real. As if in a trance, she raises her hand and plucks the offending mistake from her head.

It's a hair. a grey hair.

I just hope Trisha gets what she wants. She has been through so much. She will always be in pain with them around.
