The receptionist told me Scarlett hadn’t stepped out since we booked in. She’s a nice woman who had agreed to carry out some favors for me. I asked her to make sure Scarlett got what she needs. Gave her some money to help get Scarlett some clothes too.

Now, I was shocked, seeing how Scarlett gripped a man while he held on to her shoulder.

I felt like walking over to them yanking her away from him. She didn’t know who this man was and he was drunk. How could she be so careless?

I was about to shut the door in his face, when he muttered. “You’ve… changed. But ...I can smell you, Bryan Haaland.”

My heart dropped to my stomach. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I was quick to recover from the shock because few seconds after spewing that nonsense from his mouth, I shut the door.
